Op 9 juni gaat het Azië Genootschap naar de Japanmarkt! Het belooft mooi weer te worden, dus om 13:00 verzamelen we op Utrecht Centraal om te reizen naar Leiden waar takoyaki, Japanse kunst en demonstraties ons opwachten. Denk aan fanatieke taiko drummers of kendo-vechters die elkaar te lijf gaan. Op de markt kun je natuurlijk ook terecht voor merchandise van je favoriete anime/J-popband of andere dingen die ‘typisch Japans’ zijn. Wat dacht je van een ‘randoseru’? Het is een mooi gekleurde rugtas die kinderen in Japan dragen, maar die natuurlijk ook niet mis zou staan met je studieboeken erin. Waar de naam vandaan komt? Het Nederlandse woord ‘ransel’! Om de dag af te sluiten zullen we met de geïnteresseerden naar het all-you-can-eat-sushirestaurant gaan. Schrijf je in via het inschrijfformulier voor een dagje Japan in Nederland!
On May 9th the Asia Society will go to the Japanese market! We will gather at 1 p.m. on Utrecht Central Station to travel to Leiden where Takoyaki, Japanese art and demo’s are waiting for us. Think of fanatic Taiko drummers or Kendofighters attacking each other. Of course you can also buy some merchandise of your favorite Anime/J-popband or other things which are ‘typically Japanese’. For example ‘randoseru’. This is a colorful backpack Japanese children wear but you could of course also wear it and use it for your studybooks.
