The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (abbreviated KNMI) is a scientific institute of the Dutch government, specialized in meteorology, climate science and seismology .It provides, among other things, daily weather forecasts and warnings about weather conditions that are dangerous to humans. Maarten van Aalst is the Director of KNMI and former President of SIB. He will talk to us about the activities and functions of KNMI.
