Dear members,
Here we are again: a new update on how SIB deals with COVID-19, in light of the last press conference from our government. As you can understand, all of the physical activities we had planned in the coming four weeks will be altered to an online version. So, what changes?
1) Tomorrow’s (15th) First-year activity of “Who is the Mole?” is altered to: Online Game Night, starting at 20.00h on Discord. We will play Among Us (the free version for your phone).
2) Thursday 22nd Oct. – the nature walk from our Naturally Society is altered to: Netflix Party, starting at 20.00h, watching David Attenborough’s new film ‘Our Planet’!
3) Upcoming Tuesday evening programmes take place online (20th; 27th Oct., 3rd; 6th; 10th Nov.)
4) The Discord Drinks remain to be our happy place to keep in contact <3, each Tuesday from 21.30h onwards. Join us here!
This fully online SIB programme applies to our activities from now until at least the 10th of November. We will keep you updated on any other alterations, and, later on, on plans for the time after that date. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for SIB’s online activities, we’re all ears!
Thank you for hanging on tight as we manoeuvre between these regulations and the possibilities we as SIB have. We hope you are in good health, and hope to see you online in these upcoming weeks. Stay safe, stay safely distanced, and stay in touch.
As always, we are available for any further questions you may have about the situation. Don’t hesitate to contact any of us! This goes for SIB-related questions, but also in regard to more general student related issues. As we are in direct contact with the UU, HU and the municipality (Gemeente Utrecht), we can pass on your remarks or questions.
Yours truly,
The XLth Board of SIB-Utrecht
