It has been over three years since the UK voted to leave the EU. Yet in these three years no decision has been reached on how to do this and the discussion has divided the country deeply. Since the referendum, Great Britain has had three prime-ministers and countless votes in parliament for possible Deals with the EU. At last there was the deadline of October 31st for the British to decide on a Deal, or leave without one. October 31st came and went and brought no solution. Now the British get to vote once more to decide their future on December 12th in an election that will decide the future and shape of the Brexit. Can the election finally solve Brexit?
We will discuss this with Martijn Huysmans and Gareth Davies. Martijn Huysmans is professor at Utrecht University and expert on the Brexit. Gareth Davies is professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and expert on the UK elections.
This talk is free of charge. Afterwards, there will be drinks at cafe Hemingway!
