Books vs Movies: The Ultimate Showdown!

Are you team books or team movies, the choice is yours! This upcoming interactive discussion we will see which team will come out on top?! Are you a true bookworm, or a diehard cinema geek (or maybe even both)? Then in this showdown you will be able to see if your fellow SIB members are allies or foes. We will be discussing some movie and book adaptations, and wish to know which one you think is better.

Be sure to read up on your favourite book-to-movie adaptations and watch those cinematic masterpieces—you’re going to need it. 🙂

Come paint your flower pot with the 4️⃣4️⃣th Board while the current board is away.🪴 Are you Picasso, Mondriaan or Van Gogh? Show us your skills or lack thereof 👩‍🎨 We will provide the paint and pots, and even bring some herbal plants (like basil, mint etc) for you to take home💐

Step into a world of glamour, intrigue, and high-stakes elegance at SIB’s Casino Royale.

Unfortunately all tickets are sold out. Therefore you can register here for the waiting list. Let us know: Your name, what SIB city your from, your phone-number, your emailadress and how many tickets you are after (a member ticket or a combi ticket). We will contact you when a ticket has become available for you. We will let you know by 08/05/26, 15u00 latest if no ticket has become available (very last-minute swaps need to be arranged individually).

Practical info:
The gala takes place on the 8th of May 2026 in the historical center of Utrecht. Doors open at 21u00 and close at midnight, the party will last till 03u00.
Member tickets are €27,50, tickets for a plus one are €32,50. You can sign up for both tickets, however, we might only be able to give you one.
Tickets are non-refundable, if you would like to resell your ticket, you can send an email to galaco.sibutrecht@gmail.com. By buying a ticket, you agree to the [Code of conduct](https://sib-utrecht.nl/code-of-conduct), and are responsible for any +1’s you bring following these rules.
