Half-Year GMA

In this GMA the 45th board will be giving an update on the past half year and how their policy promises are going so far. Besides that you will hear how SIB had spent their money the last half year, you can again vote on SIB matters and much more!!

If you are unable to come, you can authorise another member to vote for you during the GMA. You can do this by sending Susanne, our secretary, an email on secretaris@sib-utrecht.nl. Be sure to do this before the GMA starts.

Her expertise in health law allows her to share her own experiences with us, providing us an inside view on the topic. This talk will provide you with the facts, figures, and forum you need to navigate this complex issue. After this evening you’ll have the answers to the questions you’ve always wanted to ask on medically assisted dying. How did the Netherlands become the first country to legalize euthanasia? What are the rules and regulations? Are there death panels? Do people with psychological problems qualify? And how exactly is it performed? Ask Miriam Saridi, a lawyer specializing in health law who works for the Euthanasia Review Committee, anything!

We will contact you when a ticket has become available for you. We will let you know by 08/05/26, 15u00 latest if no ticket has become available (very last-minute swaps need to be arranged individually).

Practical info:
The gala takes place on the 8th of May 2026 in the historical center of Utrecht. Doors open at 21u00 and close at midnight, the party will last till 03u00.
Member tickets are €27,50, tickets for a plus one are €32,50. You can sign up for both tickets, however, we might only be able to give you one.
Tickets are non-refundable, if you would like to resell your ticket, you can send an email to galaco.sibutrecht@gmail.com. By buying a ticket, you agree to the [Code of conduct](https://sib-utrecht.nl/code-of-conduct), and are responsible for any +1’s you bring following these rules.
