During General Member Assemblies (GMA’s), or ALV’s (Algemene Ledenvergaderingen), members of SIB-Utrecht can vote on important decisions for the association, ask for clarifications and raise their concerns. They hold the board and the GMA committees responsible.

Policy GMA
30 October 2024
- The board presented their policy. The GMA provided remarks, sought clarifications, and required some modifications to the policy document. The modifications were in line with the spirit of the original policy document, but aimed to address some practical concerns that were raised.
- Lena van Duifhuizen was accepted as CCP for 2024-2025. Note that Mijke is the other CCP, as decided in the the Year GMA.
- The SIB-link Committee reduced their target to 3 editions per year, instead of 4.
- The privacy policy has been updated to be more clear. The image and audio related policy is moved to a separate ‘image policy’ document, but remains part of the privacy policy.
- Pre-written updates of GMA committees, currently only sent in advance to the board for preparation, will also be sent in advance to members, for future GMA’s.

- During the half-year GMA, the financial half-year report was presented. Due to miscommunication between the Audit Committee and the treasurer, full approval could not yet be given there and only votes were taken on income and expenditure. The rest of the report is voted on at the election GMA.
- Wouter van Pamelen has been accepted as a member of the SIB link.
- Xavier gave an update on the task force, they will present the first multi-year plans at the election GMA.
- The amendment to the articles of association has been discussed and has already been approved at the election GMA. The GMA recommended retaining a two-thirds majority vote.
