At SIB you can become a member year-round! If you become a member during the summer holiday or in September, you are invited to participate in the September Introduction. If you sign up later in the academic year, we will have a buddy available that can introduce you to the association.
Get a Buddy:
We understand that you may want to come by an activity before signing up to become a member. Moreover, we also understand that walking into an unfamiliar space alone may be daunting. Therefore, we have a buddy-system at SIB that you can use. This means that you will be matched to a more experienced SIB-member that can tell you all the ins- and outs of our association. Furthermore, your buddy will contact you before the activity so that you can go together.

September Introduction:
We have one introduction period at SIB in September. The introduction period is meant to give everyone a headstart of their SIB time, allowing you to get to know both new and older SIB members and become acquainted with all aspects of the association. During the introduction, you will also be guided by two mentors who can tell you all you want to know about SIB. To give everyone the chance to get to know as many people as possible, the introduction period at SIB is mandatory. But don’t worry, the introduction is not an initiation and doesn’t include any hazing (Dutch: geen ontgroening!).
