European electricity grids have been facing a big challenge over the past years: grid congestion. This forms a major setback in the energy transition which requires more and more electrification.
In this lecture, Maarten Staats will dive into the history, how this problem came to be and analyse the current situation on European grids. How can we unlock the European electricity grids, so they support the energy transition instead of obstructing it?
